Monthly Hangar Lunch Is This Saturday, February 23

Our February hangar lunch is this Saturday, February 23 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Jambalaya and salad make up the bill of fare this month and, as always, $5.00 buys all you can eat. Some of our usual hangar lunch volunteers will be unavailable this weekend so we could use some extra help with the lunch. If you’d like to volunteer please be at the hanger at NLR Airport at 10:00 a.m. this Saturday. See you there.

Wings Of Freedom Tour Coming To NLR Airport

The Collings Foundation will be bringing the Wings Of Freedom Tour to NLR Airport from Friday, February 29 to Monday, March 3. The tour is a major aviation event consisting of three classic World War II bombers; a Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress, a Consolidated B-24 Liberator and a North American B-25 Mitchell. The event will feature both rides and walk-through tours. The price of a walk-through tour will be $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for children. The prices for rides are $425.00 for the B-17 and B-24 and $325.00/$400.00 for the B-25. For reservations call (800) 568-8924. The daily schedule for the event is as follows:

Friday, February 29: 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Saturday, March 1: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Sunday, March 2: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Monday, March 3: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
